Daniel Yergin to speak at New America Foundation

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

Go here to sign up: http://www.newamerica.net/events/2009/why_oil_matters_more_ever.  New America will webcast it live, as will The Washington Note (http://thewashingtonnote.com).

I highly recommend the programs and publications of the New America Foundation.  In addition, Steve Clemons’ The Washington Note is a very informative blog.  It does have a point of view, but is not so highly partisan as many, has no political affiliation, nor does it serve a particular private or state interest.  As best as I can tell, at least.  I am not affiliated with either, but I do attend many of New America’s events.

I highly recommend this editorial on net neutrality by Richard Martin: http://www.von.com/blogs/martin/?m=art&a=arrh–those-evil-cablecos-.html
